Khalid Khidr is a well known Saudi photographer who from the late 1970s has captured images of the Saudi royal family and the holy sites at Makkah and Madinah as well as the development of the other cities of Saudi Arabia. He has published several books such as a book with aerial photographs of Taif and has co-operated with foreign photographers. With John French he pictured old and new Jeddah in the early 1980s.
